Marketing Team Lead

Saauda is building a simple, powerful billing and inventory platform for kirana stores and small retailers. We’re looking for a Marketing Team Lead who can build and lead a team to create the company’s entire marketing foundation from scratch.

You won’t just run campaigns—you’ll define how Saauda reaches shopkeepers, earns their trust, and scales across cities. You’ll work directly with the founders to turn product capabilities into real adoption on the ground.

What you’ll do:

• Manage, and mentor a team of 5
• Build a marketing strategy
• Develop hyper-local marketing strategies targeting kirana stores and small retailers
• Create simple, clear messaging that resonates with non-technical shop owners
• Work on on-ground activation: shop visits, demos, partnerships, and referrals
• Build trust-based acquisition channels (word-of-mouth, retailer networks)
• Set up marketing funnels for acquisition, onboarding, and retention
• Track performance metrics and continuously optimize campaigns
• Collaborate closely with product and sales to improve adoption and retention

• Growth in onboarded stores across target cities
• Strong word-of-mouth and referral-driven adoption
• A self-sufficient, high-performing marketing team

• Strong understanding of both digital and on-ground marketing
• Experience targeting small businesses, retailers, or local markets
• Ability to simplify messaging for non-tech audiences
• Data-driven mindset with strong execution skills
• Experience managing and growing a team
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, ambiguous startup environment

• Experience in POS, SaaS, or retail-tech
• Experience working with kirana stores or TIer 1, Tier-2 or Tier-3 markets
• Experience running referral or network-based growth loops
• Familiarity with English, Hindi and Bengali
